Division Admiral
The Division Admiral holds the rank of Division General and leads all maritime operations of the Abbatial Gendarmerie. He also chairs the Yacht Club of Sabourg, the official maritime showcase of the Principality.
Under his authority, sea volunteers assist and rescue mariners in distress, alert the competent authorities to emergency situations, and watch over the preservation of the marine environment.
Association under French law, founded in July 2020 in Menton, the Yacht Club of Sabourg also acts under the banner of a public body, official emanation of the Principality of Sabourg — the first Christian monastic State at the Italian-French border.
The Club offers the registration of vessels under the Sabourg flag, with its own IMO number.
